2009 Boys Volleyball

The 2009 season is in the books with the Bulldogs posting an overall record of 18-16, a 5-5 record in Valley League play and a #4 seed in the CIF San Diego Section Division II playoffs.

Four players earned all-league honors:  Trevor Adelman (first team), Stuart Corbett (second team), Brian Allen (honorable mention) and Greg Gallagher (honorable mention).

Trevor Adelman has earned a spot in the San Diego Section Senior All-Star Game on June 10th.

Varsity Team Awards: "The Human Backstop" - Trevor Adelman; "The Man" - Stuart Corbett; "Hogan Award" - Alex McLaughlin; Most Improved - Garrett Adelman; "Bulldog Award" - Alex McLaughlin; Team MVP - Trevor Adelman.

Junior Varsity Team Awards:  "The Mop" - Chris Rojas; "Mini-Man" - Billy White; Most Improved - Scottie Miller; "Bulldog Award" - Chris Rojas.

San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team:  Trevor Adelman (4.06), Stuart Corbett (4.29), Greg Gallagher (3.98), Chris Garcia (3.09), Ian Nowakowski (3.70), Shawn Sadleir (3.00), Garrett Vizcarra (3.03).

Trevor Adelman was named to the San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic First Team for Boys Volleyball (click here for the full list of spring sport first teams) - one of only two RHS students so honored.

Two players were selected to All-San Diego Section Division II teams:  Trevor Adelman (first team) and Stuart Corbett (second team).
 

Next Game

The 2009 Season came to a close with the #4 seeded Ramona Bulldogs losing at home to the Scripps Ranch High Falcons.  The 2010 team will start anew in February 2010.
