Dawgs Roll in D-III Quarterfinal - Spoil Ravens' Prom Day The Bulldog spikers, after a nine day layoff, played well enough to advance on Saturday afternoon beating the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens three games to one - 25-18, 28-26, 23-25, 25-19. The match was rescheduled from the original 7PM start to accomodate the Canyon Crest prom. Ramona took comand early winning game one easily and built a comfortable lead in game two behind a Luis Nunez serving run that featured two aces that hit the ground untouched. The Ravens fought back and tied the score at 23 before succumbing to the boys in blue in overtime. It was the Bulldogs that played from behind in game three - drawing close at the end but losing 23-25. In game four, the Bulldogs refound their focus and controlled the scoreboard cruising to a 25-19 win to take the match. Ian Nowakowski lead the team with 14 kills followed by Billy White with 10. Garrett Adelman tallied 37 assists and lead the team with 10 digs followed by Nowakowski (9), Nunez (7), and Brad Benke (5). Nowakowski notched five aces and Nunez finished with three. Garrett Vizcarra lead the team with four blocks. |

On To The Semi-Finals at La Jolla
With their four-game win over the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens on Saturday afternoon, the Bulldogs take a 23-11 record on the road for the D-III Semi-Finals on Wednesday May 19th at 7PM against the Vikings of La Jolla High (24-13).
Tickests for the semi-final match will be $5 for students/seniors and $8 for adults. This year's finals will be played at Cathedral Catholic High School at 1PM on Saturday May 22. Tickets for the finals are $6 for students/seniors and $9 for adults.
